RiSU Introduction

Risu has been incorporated as Rajasthan Government State University Vide Act No 6 of 2017. Dr. Lalit K Panwar, former IAS and Ex-Secretary, Govt. of India has been appointed as first Vice Chancellor of RiSU. Twenty two skill related institutions have been affiliated so far and more than 1000 students are pursuing skill based studies in these institutions. The affiliated institutions have commenced first session from July, 2018. RiSU is an effective institutional intervention to implement National Skills Qualification Framework in the state. Being a government University, RiSU is the affiliating body for a large number of instituties operating in skill and vocational training.


B.Voc 3 Degree Year Program

Bachelor of Vocation is a 3-year undergraduate course available for pursuance by students hailing from several different fields. The basic eligibility for pursuance of the course is the successful completion of the Senior Secondary level of education (class XII) from a recognized educational Board. The course has essentially been designed for students wishing to enhance their employability. These courses facilitate such students in learning, earning and growing professionally. The course offers to eligible candidates:

  • Practical knowledge in their chosen field.
  • Expertise in innovative, trendy and interesting disciplines of choice
  • Expertise matching candidates’ job aspirations.
  • Employability for a suitable job as per current market requirements
  • Sufficient knowledge for establish themselves in employment and entrepreneurship ventures.

  • With an emphasis to focus more on practical training, the UGC has introduced this vocational and skill development degree program called Bachelor of Vocation.This is largely targeted towards youth who want to enhance their employability opportunities to learn, earn and grow. The advantage of these courses is that as against common Degree courses like Engineering or B.Com or B.Sc, here you have multiple exit points and continued exposure to industry. The work experience increases your chances of landing a job. You may also find innovative, trendy and new areas of expertise that match with your interests and job aspirations.


    Level of Awards

    The certification levels will lead to Diploma/Advanced Diploma/B.Voc. Degree in one or more vocational areas and will be offered under the aegis of the University

    Duration

    6 Semesters (3 years), this three year full time programme is divided into six semesters, each of 15 weeks including assessment. In addition all students are expected to undergo industrial training / project work for 4-8 weeks every semester that may continue partly duringsummer / winter breaks. All students should undergo bridge course program of 180 hrs duration in each semester for first two semesters along with level 5 regular courses. The credits earned are of qualifying nature and should be completed within four semesters (2 years) for obtaining Diploma / Advanced Diploma/ B.Voc Degree, as a pre-requisite. A certificate to this affect shall beissued by t h e P r i n c i p a l / D i r e c t o r o f a f f i l i a t e d I n s t i t u t e s t o be submitted to COE. NSQF LEVEL-IV certification may be done through the respective agencies involved. Efforts are on to sensitize various agencies involved such as industry, government agencies, other universities and stake holders ,the students to understand the changed paradigm and the nomenclature called B.Voc. A student who earns a B.Voc degree is eligible to appear for national level tests as is done in case any other degree holder. Questions such as equivalence with B.Tech programs etc., does not arise, however student is allowed lateral entry to B.Tech analogous programme


    Eligiblity for Admission

    The eligliblity condition for admission in B.Voc. will be 10+2 or,equivalent, in any stream.
    A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the 10+2 level.
    Class X qualification with successful completion of ITI (in analogous trades).


    Fee Structure

    The course fees is 60000 .
    The university will also charge examination fees and some additional fee also which will be in total 3000 in extra which the student has to paid other than the course fee.
    For starting one yearyears the fees would be only 32000.
    If a student belongs to minorities or Sindhi Samaj then 50 % scholarship will be provided by CNC that will reduce the fees to 16000


    Admission Procedure

    The student will firstly apply offline.
    Then the eligibility criteria will be checked and the documents will be taken.
    After these steps the admission will be done online.
